Relax and Spiritually Bath

tart by rinsing off in a shower and then lighting some candles, you can use any colour of your choice. I like to use white as it is a symbol of purity and peacefulness (in western society) then sage your bathtub. Throw a handful of pink Himalayan salt or Epsom salt at the bottom, then begin to run a warm bath, envision the water mixing with angelic light. Add some rose water or any other essential oils you may have. I like to use rose water as it helps hydrate the skin, brightens your complexion and tightens your pores. Once the bath has finished pouring, decorate the water with some flowers, you can use rose for nourishment to the skin and the ultimate self love! Make sure your flowers are chemical free. Take time to breathe deeply and think about nothing more than love.

You can focus and repeat the affirmation “I am worthy of love and self-care”.

Decorating water with flowers is a very big tradition within Bali. This ritual is the ultimate blessing to yourself as the fragments from the flowers rise with the steam making a relaxing experience. Flowers are also used to help connect us spiritually with nature and some plants are seen as protective. Roses are symbols of love and depending on the colour can also hold a separate meaning.  Adding salt to your bath is a brilliant way to heal your body and is done as a communal time between friends and families in japan. Salt also helps to banish and wash away negativity.

At the end of the bath, I like to jump in a cool shower to revitalise my skin, closing my pores as this brings circulation to a regular and steady pace. This is definitely the hardest part of the cleanse! Being able to stand in the cold shower is the ultimate test of willpower, if you focus on your breath rather than the temperature it makes the experience a lot more enjoyable.
