The story of Honeysuckle - Greek Mythology
Daphnis and Chloe who were lovers in Greek Mythology - they lived far away from each other and where only able to see eachother when the honeysuckle bloomed. Daphnis went to Eros, the god of love, asking if the plant could bloom longer than a season, so the two of them could be together longer. Eros answered his prayers, allowing the flower to bloom from spring till autum. Honeysuckle blooms continuiously during warm weather periods.
Honeysuckle represents the flames of love and tenderness, to those we have lost and still love. Represetning pure happiness, as it is sweet tasting and smelling, it offers a message of affection and sweetness.
